Spring Clean-Up & Fishing Report

The Spring Clean Up Day has been scheduled for Saturday 4th April from 8:00am to Noon. This time will be used to clean up along the paths and pond edges as well as spring clean in and around the clubhouse and shed and stack firewood.

Members are asked to bring gloves, pruners, saws and rakes. There will be no fishing allowed when the clean up is going on. Email the board if you have any questions.

Opening Day Fishing Report

There was a good turnout for Opening Day on Saturday. Coffee was consumed, donuts were munched and the cold wood stove kept the cold at bay. Many members caught a bumper crop of rainbow and brook trout. Dennis P walked away with the pool money for first fish. "Surprisingly' the good old black woolly bugger was the in-demand fly but the trout will soon get wise and anglers will have to mix things up if they want to keep up their catch rate.

Thanks to the board members who picked up the coffee, donuts and muffins and thanks to the members who cleaned up the clubhouse later in the day.

The weather looks good for spring fishing over the next 10 days so get over to the club pond and join in the fun. Please remember to play out hooked fish as quickly as possible, land them using a net and get them back in the pond ASAP.
