March Meeting, Pond Stocking & Opening Day

The March Members Meeting is tonight (19th March) at the clubhouse. New Club President Jeff B will start things off at 7pm with a short meeting agenda before long-time NSC member Vinny MacFarlane takes over and delivers his presentation and slide show about guiding clients for Atlantic salmon and brown trout in Iceland. The pond received it's Spring Stocking on Tuesday 17th March. Approximately 300 rainbow trout were added to the cold water and await the flies of eager anglers this coming Saturday morning. Some members were on hand to help get the fish into the pond, both acrobatically and some (Rollie J) more gently.

There is NO FISHING at the pond until 7:30am on Opening Day.

Opening Day starts this Saturday (3/21) at 7am with coffee and donuts in the clubhouse and the first cast bell will toll at 7:30am to start the spring season.
