The NSC Family Picnic will take place on Sunday 22nd June.
Burgers, hot dogs, wings and sides will be ready at 1pm.
Cold water and soda will be in the clubhouse refrigerator.
The family picnic is in lieu of the June Members Meeting and is the final club event of the season. It's a great time to catch up on everyone's summer fishing plans and to hear the fish stories of members spring fishing trips.
The picnic also marks the start of summer fishing rules. This means that member's and their children can fish worms under a bobber for sunfish and shiners. Any panfish or bait fish that get caught should be moved with a bucket to the brook below the dam that flows under Great Plan Ave (or taken away to use as bass bait in the Charles River). The club will provide worms for the club picnic but kids should bring their own poles.
Gilbert Hatchery Field Day
Thank you to our group of members who made the trip down to Plymouth to help Darlene with hatchery maintenance this past Saturday. A great lunch was their reward for some hard work in and around the trout pens. Some members from Malden Anglers joined our own Dennis P, Brad V, Joe S and Jeff S.

Pond Conditions and Fishing Report

The recent rains have washed some debris into the pond and there is no escaping the pine pollen at this time of year. Despite this, members are still catching trout on small nymphs and dry flies.
This weeks weather looks like it will be hot then stormy so get over to the pond early morning or late evening and try for a few more trout before the summer doldrums set in.
