Dear Fellow Anglers,

It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of our dear friend, long-time club member, historian, patient instructor, and true master of the art of fly-fishing, Ray Capobianco.

Ray was more than an angler—he was a storyteller, a mentor, and a living repository of knowledge. His wisdom on the water was matched only by his generosity in sharing it, guiding countless members with his steady hand and keen eye. Whether teaching a perfect cast, recounting tales of legendary catches, or quietly observing the rhythms of the river, Ray embodied the spirit of our club.

His absence will be deeply felt, but his legacy lives on in the skills he imparted, the stories he told, and the friendships he fostered. As we cast our lines in the days ahead, let us do so with the same patience and reverence he taught us.

Tight lines, Ray. You will always be part of our waters.
