Following the success of last years multi-club work party at Gilbert Hatchery a second Field Day will be taking place on,
Saturday 31st May
8am -12pm
NSC's favorite trout farmer and friend, Darlene Nickerson, greatly appreciated the help and time that we contributed last year so hopefully we can accomplish the same this year.
Field Day Details
Members can meet in the club parking lot at 7am and car pool down to Plymouth or make their own way there.
Please email NSC President, Dennis Plaster if you plan to attend the field day and mention if you will be car-pooling from the club or making your own way there.
Members from the Malden Anglers club in Saugus will also be in attendance.
Work is scheduled to start at 8am and should be wrapped up by noon.
Darlene will be providing lunch.
Please email NSC President, Dennis Plaster if you plan to attend and mention if you will be car-pooling from the club or making your own way there.
The major projects are as follows:
Weed and brush clearing. We will need 2-3 people with weed whackers to trim around the pens etc. The club will be renting a brush hog to tackle the heavier stuff. Wear long pants, long sleeves as there may be poison ivy/oak.
Rake the weeds out of the fish pens. We will need 2-3 people with waders, rakes and a strong back. Need you recruit some of our younger members (under 60) to do this if possible.
Install plywood sheathing over the existing walls that are now boarded. Brad V will be taking the lead on this but will need a couple others to help. You will need waders, a hammer and bring a screw gun if you have one.. Darlene will be providing the plywood.

Family Picnic Reminder
The annual family club picnic will be on,
Sunday 22nd June
This in lieu of a June Members Meeting and is the final club event of the season before the summer trout doldrums.
Food and fishing will start at 1:00pm and the club will be providing the food for the grill and the food for the trout (kids can fish with worms under a bobber).
