Fly Tying Night

The November Fly Tying Night will take place at the clubhouse on Tuesday 4th November. Everyone is welcome, no tying experience or equipment required.
Fly Tying starts promptly at 6pm with most members showing up at 5:30pm to get set up and enjoy a slice of pizza.
Streamers are the focus of the month, perfect for the newly stocked trout and our fly tying Maestro Tony O has posted the tying materials and instructions on the club website (Fly Tying webpage).

Fishing Report
Fishing was a little slow on Opening Morning but some members were rewarded with tight lines and a few successfully landed trout. More fish were caught as the day progressed. A big thank you to chef Paul D and his kitchen minions for getting the breakfast ready early and feeding the hungry fisherman.
Sunday and Monday saw more trout landed to a variety of flies. Most fish were caught around the back shores on a mix of colorful streamers. The fish were congregating around the mouth of the brook but they now seem to be more dispersed around the pond.
With a mixture of weather in the forecast the fishing should improve day to day so get over to the pond and wet a line.

November Raffle/Auction

The November Raffle/Auction will soon be upon us (Thursday 20th November). Some of the funds raised this year will be going towards a bonus brook trout stocking in late November, early December.
The success of this night relies on the generous contributions and efforts of our members. If you have some old or unwanted fishing gear, knick-knacks and memorabilia lying around, gathering dust, bring it into the clubhouse and drop it off in the raffle donations box on the table by the TV.
