Fly tiers will be meeting at 5:30 pm for a few slices of pizza before sharing their knowledge and skills at 6pm. The wood stove will be on all afternoon to take the chill off of the clubhouse.

See Fly Tying page of club website for details about flies and materials

January Fishing Report

The mostly ice-free January days saw a decent amount of fish being caught around the pond. The heavy rain storms and snow melt certainly churned the water up but members report catching good sized trout on a variety of flies and retrieves. Success seemed to come to those who moved around the shore and were willing to experiment with fly choice and size. Large purple woolly bugger's and white zonker's worked one day then a smaller, suspended nymph was the preferred menu item the next day. A Hornberg fished on the surface also accounted for a new year trout.
