Sunday's ice fishing day was very well attended. It was great to see so many members and their families out on the ice, enjoying the weather and pulling some healthy looking trout through the ice (and returning them). Members and their families are invited to ice fish the pond this Sunday, 15th February. There is a safe 10-12 inches of ice across the pond and there is shoveled access from the parking lot and clubhouse to the pond edge. The weather forecast looks good and the wood stove will be roaring inside the clubhouse and the fire pit will be going outside. The ice fishing event planned for Sunday 8th February has been postponed. The Board feel that poor ice conditions and the bitterly cold weather forecast would make for unpleasant ice fishing conditions. Earlier this week, Punxsutawney Phil stated we would have 6 more weeks of winter so hopefully we can get out on the ice soon.
